This is my November podcast which I did using the I show u software and what I have done is just talked through showing each and every task I have done during that month.

Here is an audition poster created by my partner so we get some people to audition with us, she did this on Photoshop, we only have girls auditioning at the moment but we need a few boys to make it fair, so people don't think its a teenage girls film trailer.

Me and my partner have had another meeting, this time about our storyboard, we have made some changes to it because we thought we were revealing every shot of the film so we thought we will take out some of the shots and make a note of them also we thought that the filming is quite long as it has gone over 3 minutes so we had to cut some shots down anyway and we had to add the titles on which will take even more time, because our trailer is only meant to be for 2 minutes. This also means that our treatment stage, shots that are in order are also going to change.

Research and planning- Target audience

The target audience for my horror film trailer, film poster and film magazine is going to be teenagers above the age of 15 and above, because there are mainly teenagers in the trailer so I thought that I could set my target audience as teenagers, this means that there can be strong language as it wont affect the teenagers and it wont affect anybody else because they are not watching it. My target audience must have an interest in watching horror films and also must have a background where they are going to school, college or university and if not that then they must be working at least part time or full time. They must like to go out with their friends and mostly enjoy hanging around with them and like going to the cinemas.

Research and planning- Watching 'House of Wax' horror film

To get some ideas of editing and cinematography this week on Tuesday when I had my free lessons I watched a horror movie called 'House of wax' to be able to get some ideas of shots and editing for our horror film trailer. The film is about a couple of teenagers who want to go somewhere but then there car breaks down so they have to stop at a nearby place, next to some wood place, where they identify a unusual smell which leads them on to finding a serial killer which has a twin, and they do the murdering together one by one and turn the people into wax in their own house called 'House of wax'.
I have seen that the film uses quite a lot of tight framing to be able to show the facial expressions of the teenagers also it uses quite a lot of closeups for the same reason. The lighting is mainly low key so people are notified that this is a horror film that they are watching. The location is very good because its in a park and also sometimes in a house, so they are quite simple. The film gave me quite a lot of jumpy feelings which was a thing that I liked about it, the film uses blood and horrific killing of some teenagers. Another thing I liked about it is that the whole horror film worked. it scared me and using blood, knife, spanners and arrows to kill made it seem like a really interesting horror film.

This is the font called Action of the time which I have decided to use for my horror film magazine. I like this because it looks a bit like a horror font which is very useful for my film magazine.

Me and my Partner have had another meeting together to discuss what we haven't done, so we finished all the one's that need to be done so far, however we still have animatic storyboard, test shots and our auditions left for the horror film trailer.

Here are some test shots of our locations that we are going to include on our horror film trailer. The shots show high key and low key lighting's and facial expressions, the college and Hyde park that we are going to be filming.

Here are some test shots of college, as you can see they are clear and this is what we are aiming for when we start filming our horror film trailer. When we are in college filming the lighting's going to be high key, but some places are going to b low key for some points.

Here I have the location recce for college and Hyde park both together on the screenshot above and we have filled in the details below the image and the address. This location recce is for the traileras we were filming in college and also filming  in Hyde park next to college too. This is to make sure that everything is safe and secure so there are all the details needed.

• Fake blood- £2.00 from ASDA.
• Knife- can get one from home
• White clothing- use some from home

Here are two shot list of the two locations that we are going to use, it is the college and the park.

Research and planning- Location research

The types of location that we are aiming for are low key lighting because our film trailer has a genre of horror therefore, it must be low key lighting to put effect and make it look dramatic and create suspense. By watching our film trailer the audience must be intimidated and on the other hand they must have interest in watching more horror films, but not put them off watching horror films. In our trailer we are including 2 locations college and Hyde park in our film trailer so here are the 2 locations that we are aiming for:
The Hyde Clarendon College

This can be the establishing shot that we are going to use in our film trailer which you will see in the first few shots of the animatic storyboard. Its high key lighting at this time until the park area.

This is a shot of the main hall inside the college, which will also be in our film trailer and also you will see a couple of shots being used in the animatic storyboard.




Hyde Park

These are the types of locations that we are looking for, for Hyde park. there are going to be a lot of shots in Hyde park in low key lighting also there are shots used like this in the animatic storyboard.

The trees look very intimidating so this is a good type of location that we are aiming for.

The lighting cant be too dark or else the filming will not come out right, it is going to be dark and we wont be able to see because it gets dark around 5.00pm here so we will need some light like the lamps in the places or the street lights.
