This is my October podcast which I did using the I show u software, I have talked through everything I have done during the month October.

This is my animatic storyboard which I have drawn out on paper first and then coloured it in, after that I took a photo of each image and uploaded them on iMovie and made it into a film trailer design adding editing techniques and sound on it.

This is a screenshot of my production schedule, it has a list of all the things that I have done and also all the things that I need to do and finish off during the weeks that are coming and I have marked them on which day I am going to do them.

Research and planning- Treatment stage

After presenting the two proposals to my teacher, me and my partner have decided to use a bit of the first proposal and a bit of the second proposal. Now we are going to plan out the order of our horror genre trailer in a bullet pointed order.

1. we going to start with our BBFC rating .
2. then we are going to show our production logo and distribution company.
3. we are then going to show an establishing shot of the college to tell where our location is and what it would likely be based on.
Then it shows a black screen with subtitles saying ''Terror lies within , secrets are being told ''.
4. Next we are going to have a wide shot of our actors in the school just having a group conversations as friends.
5. we going to have a fast editing pace and a long shot like a montage showing the lights. Long, lonely corridor students chatting.
6. long shot of same long, lonely corridor strange things happening lights go off.
7. wide shot same lonely corridor lights have gone off it becomes very dark, glowing, ghost shadow appears.
8. long shot of two actors walking through the door, see the lights go off again and see the ghost figure walk out the other door in the dark.
9. Action shot of the the two actors running up the stairs to the others.
10. we then are going to have a mid shot of the two actors telling the others what just happened.
11. lights go out as they converse they hear some one scream and when it comes back on, one of the actors is found unconscious on the floor with a high angle of the others looking down at her.
12. panicked, the others run out of the college and we have a wide shot of them running out the college gate.
fades out to a black screen again ''The awakening has returned terror has just began''
13. A long shot of the actors/students resting near a park around the Conner breathing heavily from running and glad they have escaped from college.
14. then we going to have a wide shot of them walking into the park.
15.wide shot showing the different path ways in the park and the position of the actors.
16. then it fades into a fast editing mid shot.
More subtitles as it fades out to black again ''Trouble lurks around the corners,''
17. same scene same editing pace to a mid shot of a stalker watching them.
18. same scene but the camera pans back to the shot of the girls
19. two shot of the two actors conversation .
20. long shot of two of the actors walking away leaving the others and heading towards the direction of the stalker.
Subtitles saying ''The unseen is revealed''
21. suddenly a close up of the psycho face .
22. A jump cut to a knife in his hand using a mid shot view.
23. Then a jump cut back to the others running and screaming in different directions,
24. a long shot back to one of the actors dead on the floor with blood on the shirts and a log on top of the actor.
25. flashing shots of different chase scenes ambient sounds and the psycho lifting a log.
26. it then goes quiet one of the actors preferably the last one seen is standing under a tree resting and trying to catch a breath whilst breathing heavily.
27. then a high angle of the psycho up on the tree looking down at the actor resting underneath
28. then it fades out to black.
29. fade back in to the psycho behind the actor.
''There is no where to hide''
30. actor screams loudly using a close up.
31. fades into black with writing on the screen saying ''Coming Soon'' .

Research and planning- Meeting post

After doing the presentation with my teacher me and my partner have decided to take a bit of both proposals and we were planning out the order of our trailer for the treatment stage. We are going to hold an audition to find potential actors for out film trailer so we could know and decide who to pick for our trailer.

Research and planning- Costume and prop list

This is what my partner is handling because she is doing mise-en-scene and sound and I am doing editing and cinematography. Here are the things that we are going to include in our trailer.

Mise-en-scene: 
For the mise-en-scene lighting we are going to use both high key and low key to show the different situations that the group is heading for.
High key lighting-






This is high key lighting colors that represent quite, peace and calm.







Low key lighting-

This is low key lighting to show darkness, danger and horror.






Facial expressions:
We want to make the audience feel really intimidated because we want to make our film trailer look really good, we want to create tension, suspense and make the whole movie trailer dramatic to watch.

Costumes and props:
Were going to use knifes to make it seem more realistic and create tension.

Were going to use blood. to make it look disgusting and also real again to make it dramatic and believable.

And make our costumes look like this to get the best horror film trailer made to create tension, suspense and to show realism of the horror genre trailer that we are going to create.

Research and planning- 2 Proposals

1st proposal
Our first proposal location is to do it in Hyde Clarendon sixth form college. Its about a group of friends who come to college and find out a couple of things that are very unusual. Going round college they realize when there is nobody but them, the lights keep on going off and on, this is the start but ends horrible wrong.

Cinematography:

• Wide shots to show where the place is that they are in.
• Close up shots to show the facial expressions and feelings.
•  Worms eye view to show what is happening from underneath.
•  Mid shots of people to show what they are doing and who is speaking.
•  Two shots to show the two people who are talking to each other.

Editing:

• Fade out and in to black screen to make it look intimidating.
• Mostly straight cuts.
• Try to get a jump cuts in there to create tension and make it dramatic.
•  Probably a graphic match.

Sound:

• Screaming sound.
• Running noises.
• Movement and reaction sounds e.g footsteps.
• Voice overs
• Ghostly, intimidating sounds.
• Dialogues

Mise-en-scene:

• Need blood to make it intimidating
• Ghost person in the clip
• Mostly low key lighting but depending on emotions, there will be high key lighting for the good times of the group enjoying.
• Blood t-shirts
• Maybe make-up
• Facial expressions need to be real and intimidating for the horror parts of the clip.
• The actual place needs to be dark and creepy looking with nobody there except the group.
• Knife for the murdering.

2nd proposal
This is the second proposal idea that we thought about which we are going to do for the trailer and its obviously horror because this is what me and my partner have chosen. For this idea the location is going to be in Hyde Park outside of college, where we have more space to run about and the screaming. The screaming wont work from the first proposal as its a college and no disturbing allowed and this means that the filming wont work without that so we had to change our first idea to the second.Our second idea was about a group of young teenagers who finish from college and decided to stay back in college having fun with their peers they lost track of time and when they realized it was getting late they decided to take a short cut home trough the park and they did not know that a psychopath lived there and takes joy in killing the young teens would now have to fight for survival.


Cinematography:

• wide shots to show location and setting 
• close ups for facial expressions to create effects.
• mid shots to capture characters and expressions 
• two shot as they converse 
• birds eye view to show weakness and vulnerability
• worms eye to make it creepy 

Editing:

• Fade out and in to black screen to make it look intimidating.
• Mostly straight cuts to show leading events
• Try to get  jump cuts in there to create tension and make it dramatic
• Probably a graphic match, dissolve and wipe to add more effect.

Sound:

• Screaming sound.
• Running noises.
• Movement and reaction sounds e.g footsteps.
• Voice overs
• cutting noises 
• ambient sounds like wolves howling owls hooting trees dancing in the wind.
• Dialogues  

Mise-en-scene:

• Need blood to make it intimidating 
• creepy psychopath
• Mostly low key lighting but depending on emotions, there will be high key lighting for the good times of the teens enjoying. 
• Blood t-shirts
• Maybe make-up
• Facial expressions need to be real and intimidating for the horror parts of the clip.
• The actual place needs to be dark and creepy looking with nobody there except the teens and the psychopath
• Knife for the murdering.

Research and planning- Sound test on Garageband software

This is my garage band software sound test which I did by using different instruments. I recorded some of the sounds created by the instruments, saved it and then put it on iTunes and then took a screen grab of the music on garage band and put it on  I movie to show that the music is from garage band and it is playing from there. Then I uploaded the I tunes on I movie and saved that. Lastly I uploaded this onto blogger to show my sound test.

Research and planning- Equipment and software list

After the meeting I had with my partner, few days ago about what media roles we are going to take, we are now thinking of which software or equipment we may need for each of the roles. I am doing cinematography and editing so mainly I would need the camera and the I movie software so below I will be identifying the things that I will be using for my media language role.

Camera:
 
We are going to use a suitable camera for filming because the camera would have to sit on the tripod. We are using this type of camera because it will give us the best quality videos and images that we want. This cameras will let us zoom in and out, give us good quality videoing for our horror genre trailer.






Tripod:

 This is a tripod that we are definitely going to use because this will give us good quality videoing, whereas if you were doing it by hand then there may be shaking so its not going to be the best filming. The tripod is to keep the camera in place and if you need to move it around then there is a way of moving it around when it is on the tripod like when you need to pan the camera then you could do that.






I movie software:

 This is the I movie software that we are going to use to edit our horror film trailer, its a software that allows you to put transitions, timing and movement on your trailer, not only this but you could put garage band software which we will be using for our sound to insert the music into the trailer to  make it intimidating and these are the things we will be doing for our horror film trailer.






Garage-band software:




This is the garage band software that we are going to use to create tone and music and horror tunes for our horror genre trailer.





I mac: 


This is the i mac computer that we are using to store all our work in such as using our documents or blogger from the internet that we are signed up to.






Image capture:

This is image capture that I am going to use to put all the images and use this to upload my images on blogger or other software's.








Blogger:

This is the blogger software that I sign in to upload all my work and to keep track of them so I don't loose any work.






I show u HD:

I use this software to do all the podcast and to show my progression which will be doing when e create the film poster and the film magazine. Also this is going to be used every month because we have do do a podcast every month to show how we are doing with our work.








Photoshop:

This Photoshop software is going to be used to create the film poster and the film magazine later on through the year.








Prezi:

This is the prezi software that was used to identify and explain what our audience for the trailer should have an interest in, background, hobbies and education.


Poll junkie:

Poll junkie was used to create a small page with question about my horror genre and this was to be filled in by people and I have put a deadline for Christmas.




Slide share:

Slide share was used to upload my pitch presentation on to blogger.



Word it out:

I used word it out to create a logo for our trailer company and for this I also had to sign in with my account.






YouTube:

I used YouTube to embed all the trailer clips that I have used in blogger just to show how a horror genre trailer is like and the two analysis of horror trailers that are in my blog.






Solvr:

This is another software that I am using to solve the film name ideas, just an idea of what name we could use for the horror genre trailer and step by step we right down all the thing we have done and it comes up with an idea.
